ISSUES
As a small business owner, I understand that the economy comes first. We are facing a time of rising prices and economic uncertainty, and we need a government that will look out for small businesses and working-class families so our economy benefits everyone.
In my first term at the Arizona State House, I created the Micro-Business Loan program to support businesses with 5 employees or fewer. I know that start-up businesses and mom-and-pop shops are the backbone of Mesa, Tempe, and all of Arizona; and that is why I support policies that provide opportunities for our local entrepreneurs.

Reform
When I speak with voters, nobody is happy with the divisiveness and extremism in today’s politicals. When I am re-elected, I will work to bring down the temperature of our politics and work across the aisle to enact positive change for our community. I have demonstrated a track record of cooperation and using common sense to get things done at the legislature.
Education
Long-term economic prosperity starts with a fully funded public school system. It is unacceptable that Arizona is 49th in the nation in per-pupil spending. I will continue to advocate for funding for public instruction so teachers and school staff can earn a living wage and so that students have smaller class sizes and a qualified teacher in every classroom. I will continue to support policies that increase transparency and accountability for vouchers. And I will continue to advocate for free school lunches.
Abortion
Arizonans are living with fewer rights than they did just two years ago. Antiquated ideas about reproductive freedom are endangering the lives of women and pregnant people. Today, Arizonans have less access to safe abortion care than previous generations and this is not acceptable. I believe reproductive healthcare including abortion should remain safe and legal, and that lawmakers should not involve themselves in personal medical decisions. That is why I proudly voted to repeal the 1864 total abortion ban and will continue to champion reproductive rights in the legislature until we return to the Roe standard.
Public Safety
Our neighbors deserve to feel safe in their community. At the legislature, I’m proud to sit on the Military Affairs and Public Safety Committee where we worked to support those who keep our communities safe. I negotiated funds in the state budget for border security and to stop fentanyl from entering our country.
This year, I have earned support from local first responders like nurses and firefighters and I promise to keep supporting them.
Water and Climate
We have the potential to lead the nation in renewable energy here in Arizona, but the current State Legislature continues to block the policies we need. Arizona should be the solar capital of the world, we have more days of sunlight than nearly anywhere else. Rather than buying our solar panels from abroad, we should be manufacturing them right here in our state; and that includes doing the research and development at the largest engineering school in the country, ASU. This is the technology of the future and we must be investing in it.
Water is vital to thriving communities and impacts our economy, education, and food security for so many of our neighbors. Living in a desert, it is more critical than ever that we secure our water future and protect the next generations from scarcity.
My story
My family moved to our state when I was 10 years old and I have been a proud Arizona resident since. I went to public schools and eventually graduated from ASU. My father started a furniture manufacturing shop in 1993 and with a lot of hard work and ingenuity, he grew the business steadily and supported my sisters, mother, and I.
NOW, ARIZONA NEEDS OUR HELP.
Near last in the nation in education and healthcare spending; career politicians facing ethics investigations; an economy that fails to work for us. This isn't what we voted for.
I know we can do better. At the legislature, I have championed funding for public education, fought for small businesses and working families, worked for water sustainability, and proudly voted to repeal the 1864 abortion ban. I listened to my community and took their voice to the Arizona State House.
That’s why I’m running for re-election.
Because my young nephew deserves all the same educational opportunities I had. Because my neighbors deserve to feel safe in their community. Because all Arizonans deserve to have their best days ahead of them.
I'm Seth Blattman, and I’M doing my part to move Arizona into the bright future it deserves.
